public interface AnnotationAssociationReadService
Read-only retrieval service for AnnotationAssociation.

Phase 3 of the AnnotationAssociationService decomposition (strangler fig). This service houses the DAO-bound read cluster previously implemented directly on the AnnotationAssociationServiceImpl facade: the two find(...) overloads keyed by BioSequence and Gene. Both delegate to AnnotationAssociationDao and orchestrate no other collaborators.

The pure in-memory transformation removeRootTerms is not a persistence read and remains on the facade.

Callers should generally keep using AnnotationAssociationService as the facade -- the facade delegates to this service. Direct injection is appropriate where a class would otherwise create a Spring construction cycle through the heavier facade.

ACL / @Secured annotations live on AnnotationAssociationService (the caller-facing facade interface); enforcement happens at the facade proxy boundary, so this interface is intentionally unsecured.
